Summer 2024 Features

The Marriott Library celebrates the accomplishments of three graduates from the Honors College: Eliza Diggins, Savannah McDaniel and J. Clista Galecki. These students were chosen for their exceptional senior theses in the fields of physics and astronomy, English and chemistry. They were awarded the prestigious Alison Regan Library Thesis Award, each receiving $1,000 in recognition of their outstanding work. 

From a graphic novel showcasing original art created during Japanese American internment to a documentary on the art of tatau, honor Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month with these great selections from the library’s general collection.

Adonica Ihilani Kauwe Tuitama, a dual doctorate degree and D.N.P. student at the University of Utah, meets librarian Lorelei Rutledge in person for the first time after working together for four years online.

Every year the Spencer S. Eccles Eccles Health Sciences Library and the J. Willard Marriott Library combine forces and participate in the U’s Bench 2 Bedside (B2B) program, a major competition for students who have developed medical innovations to significantly improve, or save, human lives.

Last month, the annual LEAP Symposium was hosted at the Union. The event featured student project posters of their capstone projects and were judged by librarians from the Marriott Library and Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library.
