Hooplaza in an annual event that takes place during the beginning weeks of Fall Semester. This year the event will be on September 5th, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM on level 3 in the Marriott Library. It is a great opportunity to learn about what resources are available at the library and how they can help during the semester. Here’s why it’s definitely worth it to be there!

Free food

Throughout the event, we will be distributing free donuts from Banbury Cross, nachos, popcorn, and cotton candy! Definitely make sure to arrive earlier rather than later for the great chance at these delicious treats.

Library information

Every service and resource at the library will have a table at this event. If you’ve ever had a question, now would be the best time to ask.

Games & prizes

Win some tickets at basketball, our new escape room, or other games. Plus, turn in those tickets to get some awesome prizes like soda, candy bars, and library branded water bottles!

Caricature artists

Two talented artists will be at Hooplaza ready to draw some awesome caricatures!

Photo ops

Hooplaza is a very colorful event! Between the balloon art, the great food, and the beautiful library atmosphere, there will be plenty of places to take some great pics.

Enter to win some big prizes

Need a new bike from Cranky’s? What about a Fear Factory prize pack? These and more can be won by entering the passport contest. Simply pick up your passport from one of the welcoming tables and get it stamped by the information tables at the event. The passport can be returned to those welcome tables to the designated box.

Other prizes include: Powder Mountain passes, Momentum Indoor Climbing membership, Mystery Escape Room tickets, Wasatch Fitness Company gift certificate, Two Creek Coffee gift certificate, and summer passes to the Park City Olympic Park.

Winners must be current University of Utah students and willing to be in a social media photo.
